A five-year-old Pembroke boy suffered a fractured skull after being knocked over by a truck.

The truck was driving west on Parson's Road near Deepdale Road West on Monday afternoon and approached a parked car with a child standing by it.

According to a Police report, the car pulled out as the truck slowed and the child ran out in front of the truck.

The boy was rushed to hospital and was said to be in a stable condition last night. The truck has been impounded and Police are investigating the incident.
