Bank shares keep climbing

Bank of Bermuda shares continued to edge up yesterday, hitting $49 once again and pushing the index up another 25 points.
The bank's shares rose 25 cents or 0.5 percent and Bank of Butterfield rose 60 cents or 2.1 percent to close at $29.60.
Belco Holdings also closed up $1, finishing at $27.
The index closed up 1 percent at 2,569.61 on a volume of 13,665 shares worth $549,334.25. No bonds traded.
