The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index fell 16.47 points or 0.69 percent yesterday to close at 2,370.53. A total of 7,483 shares worth $189,009.20 were traded.

The Bank of Bermuda fell 30 cents or 0.7 percent to close at $43.20 with volume of 476, while the Bank of Butterfield fell 50 cents or 1.7 percent to close at $28.50 with volume of 2,407 shares.

In the insurance sector, Argus Insurance Company Ltd. gained 50 cents or 2.4 percent to close at $21.50 with volume of 4,500 shares.
