New Year's Eve was another quiet day on the Bermuda Stock Exchange. The index gained 1.72 points, or 0.08 percent to close at 2,220.44.

The only shares to change hands were in BF&M Limited, the price of which rose a quarter point to $10.25. Just over 7,000 shares in the company were traded.
