Victor Scott School students, teachers and parents planted a cherry tree donated by Mr. Omari Dill (center) of Unity Edible Landscaping & Agiculture Consultants in memory of those Victor Scott families who have lost loved ones to the recent gun violence. The tree was planted to promote unity and peace in the surrounding community. This token of unity was in memory of Perry Puckerin, Kimwandee Walker and George Lynch. Mr. Puckerin`s daughter and Mr. Walker's son are students at Victor Scott while Mr.Lynch`s wife is a teacher.Unity Maintenance has joined Earth University's (<a TARGET="_BLANK" href="http:www.earth.ac.cr">www.earth.ac.cr</a>) planting programme in which 1,200,000 trees have been planted in 30 different countries, absorbing an estimated 96,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year. Due to Bermuda's limited land space, Victor Scott School's support was more symbolic. This initiative is also aimed at promoting more families to plant trees. <I>Photo by Tamell Simons</I>
