A steady stream of residents took to the Hamilton Princess yesterday to receive their Covid-19 vaccinations.

The vaccine clinic was the first of three to be hosted by the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club with the hotel promising those who attend treats and a chance of winning a weekend stay.

David Burt, the Premier, also visited the hotel to thank the Department of Health staff delivering the shots.

Mr Burt said he was “grateful” for the team who organised the clinic and said in a Tweet that more than 100 first doses had been given.

He urged unvaccinated residents to speak with doctors and make an informed decision about the vaccination.

Further clinics are scheduled to be held at the hotel between 3pm and 7pm on October 8 and between 1pm and 5pm on October 10.

Mr Burt later said that more than 650 first doses had been delivered in the past 8 days, including 144 on Sunday.

As of September 18, 67.8 per cent of Bermuda residents had received at least one shot of the vaccine, while 66.2 per cent had received two.
