A fraudulent email being spread on social media.
The Government today warned the public about a fake e-mail that asked people to “validate” their Covid-19 status.
A spokeswoman said the e-mail – which was being spread on social media – was designed to appear as if it came from the Ministry of Health.
But the spokeswoman added: “This is not a Government of Bermuda message.
“The link in the message should not be clicked on and the e-mail should not be forwarded.
“If a member of the public receives the e-mail, they should delete it.”
The e-mail said that the US-based Centres for Disease Control had issued a “compulsory Covid-19 status validation to all Bermuda residents”, and that compliance was required by Bermudians and permanent residents.
