Division One round-up

Only days after being slapped with a heavy Bermuda Football Association fine for bringing the game into disrepute, Hamilton Parish's woes continued at Lord's yesterday where they suffered a humiliating 18-1 flogging at the hands of a menacing Wolves outfit.

Returning striker Vincent Minors netted four goals, Nairobi Smith helped himself to a second-half hat-trick while veterans Kenny Hill, Marlon Lindsay and Dion Wainwright, Antoine Minors, and Robert Thomas all added a brace as the visiting team took route one.

Jermaine Douglas also tallied for the visiting team on the stroke of half-time.

A not-so Hot Peppers - severely depleted by off-season transfers and missing three suspended key players - replied through a Dwayne Taurius 22nd minute penalty kick.

At Malabar, Ireland Rangers shut out St.George's 3-0 while Paget outscored Prospect 2-1 at White Hill Field.

Mandel Outerbridge netted two early first-half goals for the home side while Nidol Barker pulled one back for Prospect midway through the second- half.

Elsewhere, Devonshire Colts edged out St.David's 1-0 at Lords while Social Club marked a triumphant return to the BFA ranks with a hard-fought 2-1 win over newcomers X Roads at Bernard Park.

Seeking to emulate the success of their club's cricketers earlier this summer, Marcus Mathews netted twice for the Bluebirds in the sixth and 41st minutes while Keemo Smith pulled a goal back for the visitors ten minutes from time.
