Fire crews tackle vehicle blaze

Four firefighters tackled a vehicle fire in Pembroke on Saturday morning.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 4.31am the BFRS dispatch received a report of a vehicle on fire off of St Augustine’s Hill in Pembroke.

“One fire appliance from Hamilton Station responded with a total of four firefighters.

“When fire crews arrived at the scene they reported seeing one car fully involved in smoke. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.”

An investigator from the BFRS will be conducting and investigation to determine the cause.
