Bermuda’s third Pride march will take place in Hamilton on August 26.

Members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community are invited to attend the event, which is being billed by same-sex advocacy group OUTBermuda as “a homecoming for LGBTQ+ Bermudians worldwide”.

The march is one of a number of events organised during August marking “how far we’ve come as a community as well as recognising the work still to be done”.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming LGBTQ+ Bermudians, allies and friends from around the world back to explore what it means to be at home — in our minds and bodies, in our families and communities, and on our island,” said Tiffany Paynter, OUTBermuda’s executive director.

Ms Paynter is leading the planning of Pride 2023 alongside a team of seven board members and dozens of LGBTQ associates, both in Bermuda and overseas, who are volunteering their time.

As well as the Pride march on August 26, OUTBermuda is planning a full slate of events that will take place from August 23 through August 27.

The schedule will include family-friendly fun as well as evening entertainment.

For more information, visit pride.bm and follow OUTBermuda on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Anyone wishing to volunteer or register interest in sponsorship can do so via the website.
