Bermudians are invited to take part in a fun-filled Labour Day this year and make it one of the best on record.

The joint Labour Day organising committee members have put together a day to remember with fun for all the family, but emphasised that the celebrations have a serious message to make the public aware of by uniting cultures.

A spokesman said: “This year’s theme, ‘Labour: Uniting Culture, Diversity and Resilience’, underscores the powerful connection that unions have established and must continue to strengthen within the fabric of our society.

“It serves as a reminder that labour is a crucial link between economic growth and social justice, and, above all, between the recognition of workers’ rights and the wellbeing of our communities.

“Come and celebrate the day with food, fun and entertainment.”

The Labour Day March is scheduled to start at 9.30am on Monday at Union Square, with the speaking programme to begin shortly afterwards.
