Symposium for people to learn more about help for disabled

People can learn more about organisations that support the island’s disabled people during Inspire Bermuda’s disability equity symposium.

Launched in 2018, Inspire Bermuda advocates for the rights of people on the island who have disabilities.

Author and philanthropist Crystal Holdipp will speak at the symposium, which will be held on Saturday at Prospect Primary School.

A charity spokeswoman said: “Attendees will have the opportunity to visit information booths of participating organisations and charities to learn more about their services and programmes, sign up to volunteer and meet their members.

“Participating organisations who are registered charities will also have the opportunity to receive donations.

“Special presentations will be made throughout the five-hour event where attendees can learn more about specific initiatives of the presenting organisations.”

Everyone is encouraged to attend the free event, which will take place in the school’s assembly hall from 10am to 3pm.

The schedule and list of participating organisations will be available on Inspire Bermuda’s Facebook page this week.
