July 27, 2011Dear Sir,I do not want to do anything to discourage Premier Paula Cox from setting up a special team to investigate Dr Ewart Brown’s emissions testing programme and its cost overruns. However, Mr Editor, her efforts are too little too late. She was the Finance Minister and should have investigated this project at the time. I suspect that Dr Brown frightened the good lady.The only solution now is a full outside Royal Commission into the Brown years and all of the building projects, contracts, overruns and planning applications. Only a Commission, no matter what it finds, will restore public respect for the PLP ... anything less and accusations will hang over the PLP like a threatening dark cloud.WATCHINGPaget
