Q: I just read that Wynonna Judd is getting divorced. What happened? — K.D.

A: Judd’s latest husband, D.R. Roach, had been in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction, and several days before she filed for divorce he was arrested for sexual battery against a minor. So when she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce, no one questioned it.

>Q: Is it really true that actress Angelina Jolie is going to stop making movies after adopting her latest child? — J.F.

A: Jolie did say that she was going to be a stay-at-home mum after bringing her new son Pax home from Vietnam, but her movie commitments seem to contradict that statement. She’s due to star in The Changeling for director Clint Eastwood, in the action film Wanted, which starts shooting in May, and in the film adaptation of Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, also set to start production this year.

Q: What is actor Leonardo DiCaprio doing next? — S.W.

A: He stars in the upcoming adaptation of the best-seller Blink; reteams with his Titanic co-star Kate Winslet in the domestic drama Revolutionary Road, set to start filming this summer; stars in the upcoming film adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s The Chancellor Manuscript; and is set to re-team with director Martin Scorsese on two films — The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt and The Wolf of Wall Street, the true story of a corrupt stockbroker.B>Q: I thought actor Jason Alexander was very good on Real Time with Bill Maher. Is he coming back to TV anytime soon? — L.R.

A: He has made various appearances on others’ TV series after several of his own post-Seinf<$> series failed. And now there’s word that he has joined the cast of a police comedy pilot for ABC, as yet untitled. If it’s a go, you’ll see him back on the air next fall.

Q: Is actor Rob Lowe going to be on Brothers & Sisters next year? I think he’s very good. — A.S.:<$> He is; after his stint as a special guest star on the series this year, the producers have asked him t be a full cast member next year, and he’s agreed. They noted that not only has his presence allowed them to enhance their story lines, but he’s given the show a bump in the ratings.

Q: What is actress Heather Locklear currently doing? — K.P.

A: She’s shooting a pilot for ABC called See Jayne Run, about an investment banker balancing her career and motherhood. It might turn up on the network’s fall schedule, depending on how well it turns o

Q: I remember reading that Jon Stewart was going to be in a comedy about baseball. Is it still coming out? — L.U.

A: Actually, Stewart’s company was producing the comedy, called Three Strikes, about minor league baseball players, and it was aimed at his home base, Comedy Central. The network turned it down, however, and so did several others, so it doesn’t look like a live prospect at the moment.

Q: Whatever happened to actor Kevin Sorbo? — M.H.

A: He recently appeared in the series The O.C., and he stars in an upcoming sci-fi TV movie called Something Beneath and is set to star in a movie for the Hallmark Channel called Avenging Angel. It’s due to air in J.

Q: Why did Joe Theisman get fired from Monday Night Football? I thought he was great in the booth. — M.F.

A: <$>Apparently critics didn’t think the chemistry between him and fellow analyst Tony Kornheiser was particularly strong, so he’s being replaced by an old friend of Kornheiser’s, former quarterback Ron Jaworski. ESPN says it will offer Theismann something else with the network, however.

Q: What is actress Winona Ryder doing? Is she still making movies? — A.D.

A: Yes; she co-stars with Jessica Alba in a comedy led The Ten, which might or might not get a wide release, and in an upcoming comedy called Sex and Death 101. She’s currently ming The Last Word, with Wes Bentley, and is due to step next into the drama Alpha Numeric, with Val Kilmer and Denniopper.

Q: I thought actress Emily Blunt was really good in The Devil Ws Prada. What will she be in next? — L.F..

A: A lot, thanks to her breakthrough in that film: the upcoming horror film nd Chill<$>; the fact-based drama Charlie Wilson217;s War<$>, with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts; the film adaptation of the novel The Jane Austen Book Club, with Maria Bello and Jimmy Smits; the edy-drama The Great Buck Howard, with Tom Hanks and his son Colin; and the romantic comedy Dan Real Life<$>, with Steve Carell. She’s currently filming Sunshine Cleaning, with Amy Adams, and is next due to head into theglish drama Who Killed Norma Barnes? and Thoung Victoria<$>, playing the British Queen, to be co-produced by Martin Scorsese.

Q: Is it true that actress Cate Blanchett is going to be in the next Indiana Jones movie?8212; K.L.

A:<$> As we go to press, Blanchett is discussing co-starring with Harrison Ford in the next, long-in-development Indiana Jones adventure, and seems to be leaning towards saying yes. Official word should come soon, because the film starts production in June.

Q: I was glad to see actress J Smart back on 24. Is she going to stay on the serie— H.D.

A:<$> Smart did reappear this season, reprising her role as the (now former) first lady on the Fox hit. But it’s doubtful that her character will return, particularly since she’s been cast in a new comedy pilot for ABalled Sam I Am<$>.

Q: I always liked actDavid Duchovny on The X Files. Is he doing anything else? — L.V.

A: He stars in an upcomihorror film called The Secret<$>, in the upcoming drama Thi We Lost in the Fire<$>, with Halle Berry, and is set to return to television in a new, as-yet-untitled comedy series for Showtime, playing a writer with a teenage daughter, an ex-wife and an active social life. It’s set to go on the air in August.

Q: I think or John Krasinski of The Office is so adorable. Will he be in any mov too? — F.W.

A:<$> Yes, indeed. He co-stars in theime drama A New Wave<$>, due out this month; the comedy Smiley Face; provides the voice of Lancelot the next instalment of Shrek, Shrek the Third<$>, due out in May;-stars with his Office<$> co-star Rashida Jones in the big screen adaptation of the David Foster Wallace novel Brief Interviews With Hideous Men, which he also wrote the screenplay for and directed; and co-stars with Mandy Moore and Robin Wilms in the romantic comedy License to Wed<$>, due out in July. And he’s currently filming the tball drama Leatherheads<$>, directed by and starring George Clooney.

Q: I just heard that Jesse Metcalfe went inrehab. Why? — K.F.

A:<$> The actor, best known as the hunky garer on Desperate Housewives<$>, has apparently been partying a little too hard, and after a recent binge observed at a Los Angeles hotel, he decided to follow the route of other celebrities and check himself in to solve a problem with alcohol abuse.

Q: I read somewhere that Paul McCartney sent Heatheills flowers after she was on Dancing With the Stars. That doesn’t mean they’re getting back tther, does it? — N.G.

A:<$> Oh, no, no, no. It was a classy act by McCartney, who reportedly signed the card from their daughter, Beatrice, and Daddy. And it may also have been a sign of appreciation that their prolonged and nasty divorce proceedings may be winding down, with a financial settlement near. But it in no way means that the two are reconciling.

Q: What is actor Patrick Swayze doing? — J.F.

A: He stars in an uming Australian-UK drama called Jump! <$>And he’s co-starring with Melissa Gilbert in a musical version of LittHouse on the Prairie, called Prairie, which is in development now and will probably tour the country next year.
