Although housed in a small shop along North Shore Road in Pembroke, General Tyres, located next to Seaview Gym, offers one of the best products every driver cannot afford to be without<\m> Toyo Tires.

The high performance tyres were recently ranked number one in product quality by Tire Review <$>magazine’s “Annual Tire Brand Study”. This is the eighth consecutive year that the Japanese-made tyres have received this award.

“One hundred percent of my customers are happy with Toyo Tires and wouldn’t change their tyre.

I have new customers coming in here everyday for them.

“The products speak for themselves,” says General Tyres owner Qubbie DeShields.

“People come in to have their tyres changed because they don’t feel safe and they get Toyo Tires and they’re very happy. These are great tyres.”

All tyres purchased through General Tyres are installed for free at the company’s garage.

A 14-year veteran in the tyre business, Mr. DeShields is adamant that his customers receive only the best quality products.

He says while many of his customers are looking for a tyre that looks great, he ensures that not only are they aesthetically pleasing but safe and well-made.

General Tyre also supplies DeCorsa, Alba and Ace rims with the average 17-inch rim starting at $1300 for a set of four alloys.

“We sell a good wheels that are coated and won’t be corroded and ruined by the elements in the air,” Mr. DeShields says.

“You have to go for good quality, especially with Bermuda’s climate.”
