BSX holds steady
Although more than 4,000 shares were exchanged during the day the Royal Gazette/ Bermuda Stock Exchange remained static on 5,100.44 points.
As the marker closed a statement was released announcing that Bermuda Aviation Services has amalgamated with CCS Group. The value of the deal was not released, but was done with financing from Butterfield Bank.
The merger comes a month after BAS acquired another Bermuda company Otis Bermuda. The new merger bring CCS’s technology and communications expertise into the growing group of BAS companies that now number seven.
On the Exchange the only activity involved Butterfield Bank shares, where 1,602 were traded without affecting the closing price of $59, and Argus Group shares with 3,100 traded at $15, again without change to their value.
The total number of shares traded was 4,702, representing a value of $141,038.
