Bank, BF&M rise
Two stocks advanced and one fell on the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange resulting in a 11.63 point (0.23 percent) rise in the exchange to 5,100.71.
As BF&M announced record earnings of $23.9 million its shares improved by 50 cents (2.7 percent) to $19 after 2,700 were traded.
There was also a positive move of 20 cents (0.3 percent) in the value of Butterfield Bank shares to $59.25 after 200 were traded.
Moving down in value by 75 cents (7.9 percent) a share was Bermuda Commercial Bank, which ended the day at $8.75 after 2,056 were traded.
Shares of Devonshire Industries were also active with 68 traded at $14, and 500 shares of Bermuda Aviation Services traded at $6.50, there was no change in the closing price.
Likewise Belco shares remained at $23 after 17 were exchanged.
The total number of shares traded on the BSX was 5,541, representing a value of $84,473.60.
