Umpires courses on offer
An internationally respected umpire and training officer is currently on the Island conducting a series of seminars on cricket laws and regulations.
Peter Smith is the chairman of the training board of the Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers (ACUS), which is the largest association in the world dealing with umpires and scorers. He also served on the Laws Working Party at Lord’s, which is the governing body responsible for drafting and reviewing the Laws of Cricket.
The first of a series of three seminars was held last night with the concluding two this evening and tomorrow.
The seminars are free for all umpires and anybody else interested in attending
They are being held at the Bermuda College in Room H160 starting promptly at 6 p.m. with light refreshments being served to those who attend.
