Devonshire dips
A dip in the value of Devonshire Industries’ shares was not enough to drag down the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange which edged 5.45 points (0.11 percent) higher to 5,113.76.
Devonshire Industries shares fell $1.50 in value (10.3 percent) to $13.00 after 1,500 were exchanged. It was the only falling stock during Tuesday.
Moving up was BF&M, which saw a 50 cent (2.8 percent) rise in its shares to $18.50 after 1,500 of the insurance group’s stocks were traded.
In the same sector 1,600 shares of Argus Group were exchanged but without any change to the closing price of $15. Similarly there was no change to the value of Bermuda Aviation Services shares despite 6,000 being exchanged.
BAS shares remained at $6.50. In the banking sector 3,130 shares of Butterfield Bank swapped hands but without altering the price of $59.25. And five shares of Bermuda Commercial Bank, priced at $9.50, were traded without altering the closing price.
The total number of shares traded was 13,735, representing a value of $295,747.
