Man robbed at 11.30 a.m. on Sunday
Police are appealing for witnesses after a Hamilton Parish man was viciously attacked and robbed in broad daylight
The 44-year-old victim is recovering on a general ward at King Edward Memorial Hospital after being taken by ambulance following the attack, which left him unconscious, on Sunday.
At 1.15 p.m., Police spoke with the victim who said that at about 11.30 a.m. he was riding his motorcycle along My Lord's Bay Road in Hamilton Parish, when he stopped to chat with two men.
Following a short conversation, he said one of them grabbed him from behind, before beginning to repeatedly punch him in his head and body.
His attackers then took his motorcycle, two jackets, one of which was a Corduroy jacket, as well as a black leather wallet that contained cash and a gold ring before fleeing. However, Police recovered the motorcycle from a nearby area, later.
Both suspects are believed to be in their 20s. One was described as a white, with a medium build, around five feet, ten inches tall and the other was dark-skinned with a slim build and a round face.
Police are asking for any witnesses to contact the St. George's Criminal Investigation Unit at 297-1122.
