A 23-year-old man was charged in a three-year-old murder case yesterday.Zakai Cann, of Sandys, is accused of the premeditated murder of Garry (Fingas) Cann on December 15, 2009.He is also accused of using a gun to commit the crime.Mr Cann was charged with the offences at Magistrates’ Court, outside the usual plea court session.No media were present as a result. The information was later supplied to this newspaper by the Department of Public prosecutions.The defendant was remanded into custody and must come back to court for an administrative hearing on November 30.Garry (Fingas) Cann was gunned down around 10.15pm on the date in question outside his girlfriend’s home on Sound View Road, Sandys.
