Two litigation specialists join Appleby
Appleby has appointed Anna Markiewicz as counsel and Robert Nash as senior associate in the firm’s dispute resolution practice in Bermuda.
Ms Markiewicz brings nearly two decades of experience in capital markets and insurance-related regulatory matters, complex commercial litigation and arbitration. She has advised clients on licensing issues, investigations, enforcement proceedings, corporate disputes, securities litigation and insolvency matters. Before joining Appleby, she practised at a leading corporate and securities litigation firm in Toronto. Ms Markiewicz is called to the Ontario Bar and holds a law degree from the University of Windsor.
Mr Nash specialises in insolvency and restructuring, with significant experience in cross-border liquidations, receiverships and complex commercial litigation. He has represented financial institutions, private equity funds and insolvency practitioners in superior court proceedings and has in-house legal experience with a European loan servicing firm. Mr Nash joins from a top-tier law firm in Dublin and was Called to the Bar in Ireland in 2019. He holds degrees in law from the University of Galway.
