The RG/BSX Index plummeted 106.33 points (3.65 per cent) to end the day at 2806.86 on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
Butterfield Bank saw 4,006 shares change hands to close at $42.10, down $1.90 (4.3 per cent).
Allshores was also active with 100 shares moving to close at $16.01, price unchanged.
The turnover was $169,935.50.
Meanwhile, Butterfield was up 46 cents (1 per cent) to end at $46.34 on the New York Stock Exchange. The volume was 82,909.
