The RG/BSX Index shot up 147.07 points (5.23 per cent) to close at 2,957.85 on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
Two stocks saw activity, with Butterfield Bank finishing up $2.65 (6.3 per cent) to end the day at $44.75, while Watlington Waterworks was down a dollar (3.2 per cent) to stop at $30.
The total turnover was $44,900.
Butterfield Bank was up 68 cents (1.49 per cent) on the New York Stock Exchange to end at $46.19. The volume was 147,300.
