Ignite Bermuda has promoted Laura Lyons to the role of deputy director.

Ms Lyons, a founding member of Ignite’s team since its 2019 launch, has played a central role in mentoring hundreds of entrepreneurs and community leaders through the organisation’s accelerator programmes.

In her new role, she will support Sean Reel, the executive director, and the board in carrying out Ignite’s strategic plan, including expanding alumni and youth engagement, building mentor networks and strengthening partnerships. She will also continue to lead programme delivery and the development of new initiatives designed to address skills gaps in the community.

Mr Reel said: “Laura has consistently demonstrated the vision, empathy and leadership that embody Ignite’s values. Her promotion reflects both her personal growth and her unwavering commitment to the success of Bermuda’s entrepreneurs.”

Ms Lyons said she was excited to continue her work. “Ignite has been a place of growth and collaboration, not just for our entrepreneurs but for me as well. I’m honoured to contribute to an amazing team that empowers bold ideas and sustainable growth.”

Ignite, since its founding, has supported more than 600 entrepreneurs and community leaders through its programmes, mentorship network and collaborative Co-Lab space.
