Allied World has earmarked a $1 million philanthropic gift to bolster scholarships and intern success grants for students pursuing careers in risk management and insurance, and to support critical needs of the US-based Spencer Educational Foundation.

The gift will expand access to Spencer’s signature scholarship programme, provide needs-based funding to help interns succeed in the workplace and ensure student success.

“Through this investment, Allied World is helping remove barriers that too often stand between talented students and long-term career success,” said Joseph Cellura, Spencer board member and president, North American casualty at Allied World.

“Spencer’s programmes don’t just open doors — they make it possible for students to walk through them with confidence, support and a clear path forward.”

The Spencer Educational Foundation works to attract and develop the next generation of risk management and insurance professionals through scholarships, internships, experiential learning and career development support.
