Bermuda triumphant at Kitty Michaels Invitational

Bermuda’s women’s team in Curaçao

Bermuda delivered an outstanding performance at the 46th Kitty Michaels Ladies Invitational in Curaçao, capturing the team gross title by a commanding nine shots.

Leading the way was captain Tracy Burgess, who dominated the field to be named individual gross winner by an incredible 15 shots. Burgess finished the tournament with a score of 79 in the final round.

Bermuda also earned a second-place finish in the net division, missing the top spot by just three strokes.

Maria Harris turned in a solid overall performance in the net competition, while Ann Symonds delivered a good round with a gross score of 86. Katrin Burnie returned a gross score of 89.

Additional prize winners for Bermuda included Jomari Vosloo taking the closest-to-the-pin competition. Burgess and Angela Cook won the longest drive competitions on days two and three respectively.

Harris was the low net winner on the opening day, with Katyna Rabain named low gross winner on day two.

Valerie Nearon and Lesley Wollmann rounded out the Bermuda team, who are looking forward to competing in the event on home soil next April.
