Relay For Life raises $445,645 – and expects more

An annual fundraising walk to help support cancer patients collected $445,645, the organisers said.
A spokeswoman for Relay for Life said funds were still being counted and while more were likely to come in as teams continued fundraising and companies matched amounts.
The event took place on Friday evening and continued into Saturday morning.
Karen Pearman was recognised as the 2026 Bermuda Relay for Life Global Hero of Hope after she recovered from non-Hodgkin lymphoma and chose to run in the Bermuda Half-Marathon Derby.
