Foundation collaborates with artist award on workshop
Music and art will collide in a workshop and community celebration organised by the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation and the Harvey Cooper Award.
They are partnering to host the hands-on programme on June 20 which is designed to “make art accessible, spark creativity and raise awareness of the Harvey Cooper Award competition”.
The event invites middle and high school students to create a visual interpretation of what a song means to them, with the support of Kaleidoscope teachers.
The Harvey Cooper Award is Bermuda’s inter‑school art competition, presented by Margot Kerry Harvey and Travis Cooper.
It provides young Bermudian artists with a platform to explore annual themes, showcase original work and compete for prizes, fostering creativity, arts education and community engagement across local schools.
A spokeswoman for Kaleidoscope said: “Students should arrive with a concept ready to develop.
“Instructors will provide guidance, techniques and creative mentorship to help each piece come alive.”
