PwC to host HeadStart careers event
PwC Bermuda will host its annual HeadStart summer networking event next month, bringing together students and recent graduates interested in careers in professional services.
The event will take place on July 15 from 5pm to 7pm at PwC Bermuda’s Reid Street entrance inside Washington Mall.
HeadStart is PwC Bermuda’s career-development programme for young Bermudians. It offers internships, co-op placements, scholarships, certified public accountant support, mentorship and workshops, while providing information about career paths in audit and accounting, advisory, tax and other professional services.
Xienne Burch, a PwC intern and 2024 Peter Mitchell Scholarship recipient, said the programme has given her real-world experience and helped confirm her chosen career path.
“HeadStart offers real-world experience and a glimpse into PwC’s vibrant culture,” she said. “For me, it’s been a rewarding confirmation that this is the career path I want to pursue.”
Jake Roberts, who has taken part in PwC’s internship and co-op programmes, said the networking event would give students practical information to help them plan their futures.
PwC said the event would also allow attendees to connect with industry professionals and peers, while learning more about opportunities within the firm.
