Sexual assault case dropped in court

Prosecutors have chosen to not pursue the case against a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

The 38-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, denied the charge when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court in January.

The man was alleged to have committed the offence in St George’s, the parish where he lives, on January 21, but prosecutors later entered a nolle prosequi, or request for an indefinite adjournment, in the case.
