The Bermuda College has signed another agreement expanding the options for students looking to study overseas.

In a statement, the college confirmed that it had signed an agreement with Hartpury University and Hartpury College in England, allowing eligible students to complete two years of study in Bermuda before transferring overseas.

The agreement also allows Bermuda College students to progress to Year 1 of a bachelor’s degree programme in some sports-related pathways through its Foundation Diploma Programme.

A spokesman said that Hartpury, in Gloucestershire, is recognised for its specialist programmes in sport, business, agriculture, veterinary nursing and biological sciences.

Lyndon Jackson, director of the Counselling and Career Centre at the Bermuda College, said the agreement created a valuable new option for students, particularly those interested in sport, exercise science, coaching, nutrition, business and related careers.

He added: “This is an exciting step because it gives our students a clearer, more affordable pathway into areas where Hartpury has real strength

“Students can start at Bermuda College, build a strong academic foundation and then transition to the UK with a defined route in front of them.

“That matters for families who are thinking carefully about cost, but it also matters for students who want confidence that their Bermuda College qualification can take them further.”
