Canal Road to temporarily close for tennis event

Canal Road in Pembroke will be closed to traffic tomorrow as the WER Joell Tennis Stadium hosts the Davis Cup.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works and Environment said the Pembroke road will be closed from noon tomorrow until 11pm on Sunday for the event organised by the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association.

The spokesman added: “Motorists are advised to use alternative routes via Marsh Folly Road and Dutton Avenue.

“Traffic control will be managed by Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association representatives.

“The Ministry encourages motorists to plan accordingly and apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
