Government is all talk and no action

The Government Administration Building on Parliament Street, home of the Department of Immigration (File photograph)

Dear Sir,

On June 2, you published an article headlined “Immigration Department to accept direct messages” which stated that anyone with a query for the Department of Immigration could e-mail the department and “expect a response within two business days”.

On August 31, I e-mailed the address provided in the article to ask why, ten months after submitting my husband’s status application, we had heard nothing.

It is now seven business days since I e-mailed. Have I had a response? Of course not.

Like everything else that this government promises, it’s all talk. No action.

Any word on when the Paget/Warwick ferry is going to operate again?

Or when the lighthouse is going to have a working light?

No, of course not. Nothing ever happens and no one is ever held accountable.
