auctioned at the beginning of next month.
They include paintings by Carole Holding and an extensive law library. And his $5,500-per-month offices, on the first floor of the Stables Building in Hamilton, are available for rent.
Madeiros is currently serving a three-year sentence for stealing $506,000 from a client.
It is also believed that the Bar Association has banned him from working as a lawyer following an investigation.
Auctioneer Mr. Benjamin Rego Snr., of Rego Ltd., confirmed that the legal offices of Madeiros are to be auctioned on Thursday, April 1.
Mr. Rego said that a number of lawyers and law firms had shown an interest in the equipment in the offices on Reid Street.
"Many lawyers have certainly shown an interest in the law library at the offices,'' he added.
Items for sale include desks, chairs, filing cabinets and stationery cabinets, typewriters, word processors, a photocopier, a fax machine, a dehumidifier, a whirlpool refrigerator, Carole Holding original paintings, a Desmond Fountain print, a mahogany boardroom table and matching leather chairs and the extensive library.
Individuals or companies are invited to make offers for the entire contents if desired, but at least four days before the auction date.
The office space is approximately 2,500 square feet and is available for lease seven days after the auction.
The 64-year-old lawyer was convicted of cheating landowner Mr. Boyd Davis of more than half a million dollars while managing his finances.
All title deeds, wills and active files from the offices have been taken into "safe custody'' by the firm Moniz and George, on Reid Street.
There will be an auction preview at the offices on Wednesday, March 31 from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the auction will take place the following day at 11 a.m.
