Two-car crash in front of school
A driver was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after he was involved in a two-vehicle collision in front of Whitney Institute.
Police were called to Middle Road near the junction with Clarendon Road in Smith's.
It appears one of the cars was travelling east while the other was travelling in the opposite direction when they collided.
The female driver of one of the cars was taken to the hospital, though her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The male driver of the other car was arrested.
Burglar steals digital camera
A burglar took a black and grey Sony digital camera and a Land handbag containing $300 and personal items from a St. John's Road, Pembroke home.
Driver arrested after smash
Police have a arrested 20-year-old Smith's man after a car smash on Middle Road, Smith's near the junction with Jennings Road on Sunday evening.
It appears a white Mitsubishi was travelling east and a red Subaru was travelling in the opposite direction when it crossed into the eastbound lane and the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the white Mitsubishi, a 25-year-old St. George's woman, was taken to KEMH for treatment of minor injuries and released. The driver of the red Subaru, a 20-year-old Smith's man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained after refusing to take the alco-analyser test.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged. Inquiries are underway.
Cash, jewellery taken in break-in
A burglar broke into a house and stole $10 cash, a gold ring and gold chain with a pendant and two DVDs.
The crime was discovered by a resident at Beaming Hill in Southampton around 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Police officers believe the break-in occurred between 8.45 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Cycle in roundabout accident
An auxiliary cycle rider and his passenger were knocked off a bike after a collision with a car on a roundabout at the junction of Par-la-Ville Road and Serpentine Road at lunchtime on Friday.
A man with a woman pillion passenger on a silver bike were negotiating the roundabout when they were involved in a collision with a silver Peugeot car.
Neither of the auxiliary cycle riders nor the woman who was driving the car were injured.
