Justin branches out with certification
Justin Horsfall, a tree surgeon with Brown and Company is now a certified Arborist, his employers have announced.Mr Horsfall underwent a year of distance learning and a “rigorous examination” to receive his certification from the International Society of Arboriculture.“In doing so Justin joins the ranks of arborists and tree surgeons throughout North America, Europe and around the world who are committed to high quality, professional tree care,” company head Martin Brown said.“Justin adds the ISA certification to his existing City and Guilds and NPTC qualifications as further credentials toward his continued professional development. “He is now fully qualified to carry out tree surveys and examinations, risk assessments and expert reports in addition to the practical climbing, pruning, felling tasks he already undertakes.”ISA is the leading global professional organisation for arborists.Mr Horsfall will be audited every three years to maintain his certification.“The addition of this Certification for Justin demonstrates Brown and Company’s commitment to provide continuing professional and personal training and development to our staff,” Mr Brown said.“We are pleased to continue offering Bermuda professional landscape and tree care services to industry leading standards.”Brown and Company provides full horticultural and arboricultural service, mainly for private, residential customers. The company recently completed a new retaining wall at Devon Springs Road and the landscape crew are currently working on two large residential installations in Tucker’s Town. The tree crew, led by Mr Horsfall, provides services for mainly private, residential customers.
