Thanks for helping with Dockyard Grand Prix

Large crowds head to Dockyard for two days of racing at the Dockyard Grand Prix (Photograph by Blaire Simmons)

Dear Sir,

The Bermuda Karting Club partnered with Base (Bermuda Autism Support and Education) to hold our third Dockyard Grand Prix on April 29 and 30.

It was a well attended and successful event for us and our vendors. We would not have been able to put the event on without our awesome sponsors.

Our title sponsors were Base, Rubis, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, e-moo and Redlaser. Our other sponsors were Keen Ltd, Joe Vieira Trucking Ltd, Hakuna Matata Charters, D&J Construction, Wedco, Bone Fish Bar & Grill, Dynamic Digital and Island Construction.

The Bermuda Karting Club members would like to thank our sponsors very much for help with this event.

Thank you to Austin Riley and his family for coming to race with us and to Marco Oldhafer and his wife for coming to Bermuda to help. A huge thanks to Rob Howden from ekartingnews.com for coming to race and announce for us.

Thank you also to Joey Botelho for the great music and sound system and thanks to the police and security as well.

We would also like to thank Green Acres Landscaping for clean-up help and Telecom Bermuda for radio use. Thank you to those that flagged for us for the weekend.

To all of our members and their families and friends that helped, the committee says “Thank you!”

A huge thank you to the Bermuda public who came out on both days to watch and support our event this year.
