Classes described as ‘life-changing’

Women are full of praise for the course that has taught them to control their anger instead of their anger controlling them. Those who were part of the anger management and relationship programme run by The Centre Against Abuse earlier this year have told us how it turned their lives around. The women called the educational programme “a life lesson” as it has changed the way they act and think. They are now urging other women to follow in their footsteps for a “life-changing” and “eye-opening” experience. The second course, run by the charity’s programme director Rosana Vickers, kicks off tomorrow evening.A single professional mom-of-one said she signed up for the course as her anger was mainly directed at her ex-partner.She said: “My journey has been a long, interesting one, from extreme anger to peace and healing.“Working through the programme, I was able to understand that anger is normal; I learned how to deal with it so that I could control it instead of it controlling me. And at the end of the series, I was well on my way to healing.“An added bonus is that I’m now very good at recognising ‘red flags’, so that I am far less likely to repeat the same mistakes when choosing another partner. The woman described the classes as “truly life-changing” and “intense” but extremely enjoyable at the same time. She added: “I can’t say enough good things about the programme. To any lady who is considering this programme ‘Just do it !’”A 29-year-old woman who is in a relationship said she initially did not think she needed the classes, adding: “Boy was I wrong.”She said: “Not only did Mrs Vickers address our anger issues, she also addressed relationship issues we were currently having and gave us life lessons for our future relationships.“The class was life changing and helped me to make changes for a positive future. I was sad when the class ended, as the women became like sisters to me.“When I am having a bad day, I often replay the words of comfort Mrs Vickers and the women from the class gave me. It is comforting knowing there are others that share the same issues in life and know that there is help out there.”She added: “I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to take control of their anger, relationships, and to live a healthy and more rewarding life.”Mrs Vickers said she had seen “an amazing change” in the women aged from their early 20s to 70s. By the end of the course, Mrs Vickers said women had “learned to control their anger and make the right choices.”
