‘Make Memories’ campaign
This holiday the Bermuda Road Safety Council (BRSC) are encouraging you to ‘Make Memories’ with friends and family. Their latest road safety campaign looks to highlight good times and festive cheer, with an emphasis on being around for many more. The theme was designed to encourage people to cherish what is special in life, and in this case; memories. In order to create many more memories with families and friends the BRSC is urging people not to be careless when on the road this holiday season and abide by 3 simple rules: 1) fasten your seatbelt 2) slow down 3) wear your helmet correctly. David Minors, Road safety Officer said, “The emphasis on memories is designed to draw the entire community into a more proactive role to combat careless driving this winter. This campaign encourages the whole family to help promote careful driving.” On Sunday November 27, 2011 friends and families turned out in significant numbers to attend the Hamilton Santa Claus Parade. The Bermuda Road Safety Council (BRSC) hosted their ‘Make Memories’ photo booth - which offered free professional photography - and the public certainly responded! Young and old alike seemed to leap at the opportunity to ‘strike a pose’. The BRSC booth was located on the taxi stand on Front Street and it provided the opportunity for those interested to take some entertaining family photos in keeping with a Christmas theme. The photos taken at the booth are now available online at www.facebook.com/BermudaRoadSafety. You can like our page and tag yourself, or view and download them at flickr.com/BermudaRoadSafety. The BRSC will be hosting another photo booth on Reid Street during late night shopping on Friday 9th December.
