The event has grown in significance each year with the honourees being treated to a fabulous lunch and presented tokens as their feats in the classic are highlighted and noted for posterity. To date, Heritage Productions has honoured over 70 individuals. The book denotes such legends, as Dr. Tankard terms them, as Woodgate Simmons, the oldest living former player; of the 1919 vintage; . Leroy ‘Tubby’ Richardson; Calvin (Bummy) Symonds; Eugene ‘Buck’ Woods, Neville Darrell Randy Horton, Colin Blades, Dennis Wainwright and the late Rupert Scotland to name a few. Some of the contributors include the firs female, Janet 'Pinky' Todd, Randall Butler, ‘ Clevie Foggo, Reggie Pearman, Rick Richardson , and the very first personality singled out eight years ago, Ira Philip.According to Dr. Tankard, not only will the book serve to educate young Bermudians about some of Bermuda’s finest cricketers, but it will also help promote the significance of the Cup Match Classic on an international level as plans are in the works to have the publication sold online. He thanked those who helped to produce the book, especially the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs from whom his label, Educational and Inspirational (E&I) Publishers, received a grant from the Cultural Legacy Fund. The first copy of “Cup Match Legends and Persosnalities” was formally presented at the Library to Dame Jennifer Smith, Minister of Education, and the Ministry's Permanent Secretary Warren Jones.
