Barnum lined up for Folk Club evening

First Prev 1 2 Next Last

Singer Joy T Barnum, who toured Europe in late 2010 as support to fellow Islander Heather Nova, is expected to take the stage at the Bermuda Folk Club tomorrow evening.

Ms Barnum is lined up to sing with musical accompaniment from keyboard player Milton Raposo, who has collaborated with her in the past.

Another popular performer lined up for the night of live music at Spanish Point Boat Club is Will Black, who regularly entertains at the Hog Penny and is a member of the Rock ‘n’ Roll group Hogfish.

Chewstick’s Desmond Smith, also known as Rivah, is expected to make his debut appearance at the folk club tomorrow.

The monthly live music evening regularly showcases a diverse selection of singers and musicians. Last month’s Irish Night was well attended and featured everything from penny whistles to harmonicas, ukuleles, guitars and a fiddle player.

Other performers listed on the provisional list for tomorrow include Dawn Robinson and her sister Mimi, Jamie Lovell, Darren Maksymetz, Alex Rosati, Mike Cacy, Peter Haynes and Charlie Grange.

Doors open at 7.30pm with music from 8pm.
