If you missed the first chance to see the fascinating documentary, The Life and Crimes of Doris Payne, then you’re in luck. The Bermuda Documentary Film Festival has scheduled an encore screening of the film, due to popular demand.

The film, which screened to a sold out audience over the weekend, will be shown again on Sunday (October 27) at 3pm in the TradeWinds Auditorium of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.

It’s described as an entertaining portrait of a glamorous and charismatic 82-year-old international jewel thief who reveals the secrets of her 60-year life of crime.

Ms Payne retraces her steps — through Paris, Monte Carlo, Tokyo, Miami, New York — telling how she managed to jet-set her way into any Cartier or Tiffany’s, and emerge with a small fortune.

Tickets are available at the Oceans Gift Shop, BUEI, or by calling 294-0204.
