BCB plunges 13.7%

Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd was the biggest mover on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) last week, dropping 13.7 percent ($1.70).The bank closed at $10.75 with 100 shares traded.Argus Group Holdings Ltd also plummeted 12 percent (60 cents) to $4.40 as 154 shares changed hands.West Hamilton Holdings Ltd similarly fell four percent (25 cents) to $6 with 1,000 shares transacted and the Ascendant Group Ltd also slipped 0.7 percent (10 cents) to $13.80 as 1,400 shares were traded.But Keytech Ltd rose 5.9 percent (35 cents) to $6.25 as 24,461 shares changed hands, as did Butterfield Bank, whose common shares were up 1.6 percent (two cents) at $1.30 and preference shares climbed 0.4 percent ($5) to $1,235, with 11,900 shares and 500 shares transacted respectively.BF&M Ltd also edged up 0.7 percent (10 cents) to $15 as 3,500 shares were traded.LOM (Holdings) Ltd saw 3,200 shares change hands, but its share price held firm at $2.90.Overall the Index was down 19.96 points (1.78 percent) at 1,119 with 45,715 shares worth BD$250,601.20 and 50 shares worth US$61,654 transacted.The BSX Insurance Index, however, advanced 31 points (3.24 percent) to 987.
