The Royal Gazette/BSX Index today closed down 15.76 points (1.29 per cent) at 1,209.18.

A total of 3,500 shares in the Bank of Butterfield moved, leaving its price down four cents (2.2 per cent) at $1.75.

Insurance firm Argus was unchanged at $3.80 after 1,600 shares traded.

Insurer BF&M was also unchanged at $16.99 after 100 shares changed hands.

And utilities firm Ascendant was down 20 cents (4 per cent) at $5.20 after 200 shares traded.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day down 4.45 points (0.28 per cent) at 1,565.59.
