A total of 36,032 shares, worth more than $109,000, traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The biggest mover was the Bank of Butterfield, which saw 32,982 shares move, its share price fell two cents to close at $1.75.

Insurance firm BF&M’s price was also unchanged at $16.98, after 3,000 shares traded.

Utilities firm Ascendant was also unchanged at $5.20 after 100 shares sold.

The Royal Gazette/BSX closed down 8.83 points (0.72 per cent) at 1,209.11.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 25.10 points (1.63 per cent) at 1,562.94.
