BSX ends week lower

A number of stocks tumbled last week, causing The Royal Gazette/BSX Index to drop 10.13 points (0.82 per cent), closing at 1,223.19.

Argus Group lost the most ground, its shares fell in value by 20 cents (5 per cent) after 35,900 were traded. The shares closed at $3.80.

KeyTech shares dropped 10 cents (3.3 per cent) after 200 changed hands, closing at $2.95.

Also dropping in value were shares of Butterfield Bank, which lost one cent (0.6 per cent) after 50,338 traded, closing at $1.78, while BF&M shares were down six cents (0.4 per cent) after 6,000 changed hands. BF&M closed at $16.79.

The BSX Insurance Index also fell, losing 21.55 points (1.38 per cent) during the week, to close at 1,542.95.

The value of shares traded on the BSX during the week was about $482,000.
