The Royal Gazette/BSX Index today closed down 4.41 points (0.36 per cent) down at 1,225.54.

A total of 1,500 Bank of Butterfield shares sold, leaving its price down one cent (0.6 per cent) at $1.79.

Bank of Butterfield preference shares dropped 16 cents to $1,137 after five changed hands.

And insurance firm Argus remained at $4 after 1,000 shares moved.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day 3.54 points up (0.22 per cent) at 1,581.64.
