A total of 52,270 shares worth $110,644 traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday.

The Bank of Butterfield was up two cents at $2 after 50,070 shares traded.

Utilities company Ascendant Group was also unchanged at $5.05 after 2,200 shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 8.83 points (0.66 per cent) at 1,349.03.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 6.76 points (0.41 per cent) at 1,669.63.
