BSX nudges down

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed the week lower at 1,172.36, down 1.81 points, or 0.15 per cent.

During the week shares totalling $223,724 were traded. Argus Group was particularly active during the week, and ended 10 cents lower, or 2.5 per cent, at $3.90 after 59,000 shares were exchanged. Also losing value were Government of Bermuda 4.75 per cent senior notes, which slipped $6, or 5.9 per cent, to close at $95.

Other shares traded during the week were Butterfield Bank, BF&M, and Ascendant Group, which all ended the week level with their closing price the previous Friday.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 26.50, or 1.59 per cent, on the week to close at 1,694.68.
